You will have to make your own accommodation arrangements for the time before enlistment; the IDF will provide for all your needs once you are enlisted. If you do not have relatives or friends with whom you can stay before enlistment, consider a Hebrew Study program (ulpan) or a Sar-El program which include accommodation. There are many Hebrew study programs (ulpanim) which offer that option. Please note that some Hebrew Study Programs take place over a period of five months.

Alternatively, please check out "Israel Youth Hostels", a wide variety of youth hostels in Israel at about $16.50 per person, per night (breakfast included). If you are a member of Hosteling International, rates are lower.
